STEVE TREATMENT It's Xmas time again so Steve Treatment has been in his basement cooking up a lo-fi musical Christmas dinner for 2010! There's a first course of poptastic bubblegum followed by a meaty main course of Steve Treatment turkey (in a good way!!!) All rounded off with a sticky sweet pudding that you'll be tasting for the rest of the evening! It's just Steve and his guitar on these songs, recorded straight onto his phonogram cassette player - no digital trickery for this child of the DIY punk zone! Click the picture to download the album, and if you haven't already got it, we have reposted the previous Steve Treatmentt (and the NoMen) album below... |

HIP COPS - "We want peace, man... not policeman!" This was recorded in the summer of 2007 but could have been recorded in the summer of '67! FUD |

Mr Luggs - Neeby Deep (7" single 2006) Mr Luggs is the epitomy of outsider, unclassifiable music! His roots were in the metal-bashing folk-punk of Nyah Fearties but his solo recordings have flirted with bluegrass, reggae and rock but always filtered through his Lugton warped mind!!! This 3 track single was released as a limited edition clear vinyl 7" in 2006. The first two tracks were re-released as part of the "Luggness" album but the 3rd track UK Grills has never appeared elsewhere. |

HALF SATAN Recorded in 2005 or 2006, we never knew what do do with this dark, brooding and slightly disturbing soundscape. 5 years later it sounds like the best album ever! It was originally recorded, edited and mixed as one continuous piece lasting 33.3 minutes (half of 666 = Half Satan!) Somewhere along the line we seem to have lost about 4 minutes as this version only lasts 29 minites and 20 seconds! If we find the missing minutes I will repost the album! It sounds electronic but is actually recorded with standard electric guitars and all sorts of found percussion . The distinctive sizzling sound is a loop of a potato scone being fried! There is a video here on You Tube which might make up for the missing 4 mins!!! |
